Niccolo Brown Few bands, if any, take sludge to the pitiless extremes that Primitive Man manage, so it's a brave combo indeed that accedes to a split with them. Sea Bastard, over the course of the 19+ minute hell-spawned slay ride that constitutes "The Hermit" give their cohorts more than a crawl for their money though. This is a black, scummed-out blizzard of grisly, unforgiving noise and we should bow before their decaying altar with all the deference one gives such cheerless sonic despondency.

Track Name: The Hermit
Man of strength
High born son
Brought to faith
By visions
Compelled to seek
Men of the cloth
Accepted, ordained
Charged to spread the faith

The pious
Life is led
Coming of plague
Many dead
Help the common men
Spread His word to them

A life
Of peace
By the sea
To defeat

Pure spring
Sent by
His servant
Now deceased

Not to rest in peace
Raiders crossed the sea
Seeking finery
With much savagery
Treasures aplenty
In the monastery
Holy men must flee
Their way that of peace

Exhumed from the grave
Body undecayed
Smuggled and kept safe
Sheltered in a cave

Icon for the faith
Preserved by the brave
Nomads for an age
Until sacred grave

Years go by
Pilgrims come
Seek the blessing
Of the holy one
